Despite high mortgage rates, several metros around the U.S. are still experiencing increasing demand for housing. According to the U.S. News and World Report, the following list shows where the housing demand is highest:

  • Denver – 74.8

  • Raleigh, North Carolina – 73.7

  • Virginia Beach, Virginia – 73.2

  • Durham, North Carolina – 72.8

  • Charlotte, North Carolina – 72.0

Three MSAs in North Carolina top the list due to strong buyer demand and relatively high affordability.
